journey around the world with a cardboard ticket

Hi, I'm glad there is someone reading this. For those who do not know me, I am an adventurer born in Reggio Emilia and I am 25 years old. My name is Palla, even if someone knows me as Riccardo Palladini.

ME

I love to feel the road under my feet and the wind on my face. I like having the boots as a floor and the hammock as a bed. I am curious and passionate about diversity: natural, cultural, linguistic, spiritual. Indeed, having studied Ecology, biodiversity is my profession.

I love learning how to build things from scratch and do without what is not necessary, to no longer have it around.

I have clear ideas about my future, I don’t miss anything, but I am convinced that making a great journey is as rich an experience as much as living a second life.

One backpack

Fifty liters, almost new, a gift from my sister. A friend of mine baptized him Hans, due to his inseparability from the bum bag, which consequently is known to the century as Elegretel. (Thanks Mara)

Together they weigh 13.5 kg and allow you to camp anywhere between -5 and 40 ° C, in wind, rain or snow. They love to travel immeasurably, so once again they convinced me to take them for a walk.

One world

It’s hard to imagine, because it looks small if you look at the atlas, it fits into a hundred sheets. To get an idea of the actual size, I try to think about the longest trip I’ve made by land, which on paper is an insignificant stretch. However, I can think of multiplying it mentally: X2, X3, X4, X10 … that’s not enough, the world map is much more.

The truth is that it is of an unimaginable enormity. The only way to know it is to step on it all the way around.
